Follow the yellow brick road

Today is the hardest day I have had since losing my grandmother. Justin is on his way to KS as I type. MANY tears were shed by my (epic fail on the stay strong part) but I know in my heart this will be for the best. He will love his job and find us a house and we will be a united family soon. I just know this will be a long month or two.

Bad blogger..Good reason..

Most importantly NOAH IS HERE!!! He is perfect (birth story to follow). We came home on Saturday and he has been the perfect baby. We are enjoying as much "daddy time" as possible since Justin is leaving tomorrow. It is really hard emotionally but I know it is for the best. I have not been good at being strong for Justin though.

We have been crazy with me in bedrest, our storage unit flooding (in Laila's birthday no less), prepping me for birth, Aunt Gina flying in, family visiting, dr appts, labs and a ton of little other things. I am ready for a chill day which thankfully this has been so far. I will try to be better at this whole blog thing but know if I am delayed it is because I am snuggling the perfect baby boy.

He'll be coming around the mountain..

First off I am still getting use to posting from my phone so when I view things it re-publishes them ...aagggghhh. Oh well learning curve right?!

Ok on to Noah!! Well on 3/12 I did the amnio (If you know my irrational fear of needles you know how scared I was). Surprisingly I (Noah) did great!! He didn't get hit at all, YAY! the test showed a "low positive" so Dr Hardey didn't want to deliver right away unless necessary. He gave me two rounds of steroids first (one on 3/12 and the second on 3/13). I am being admitted tonight 3/14 to hopefully get me dilating!! That means he should be here soon!!

We are so excited and Justin even will have family here. As I type this his Aunt Gina is getting ready to fly down her to be with us for Noah's grand entrance!! I can't wait to see and hold my baby boy for the first time, this all just seems surreal.

Update

**originally posted 3/8***

Been meaning to post but I have been in such a whirlwind. Everything is happening so quickly lately. We went to the dr on 2/29 and he was concerned about the protein in my urine. He set me up with an appointment on 3/5 to recheck it. Well it was worse so he sent me to get some labs done. The protein was still not good so he wanted to talk to a high risk dr. He did and I went to get checked out by Dr Dibbs. He confirmed with what Dr Hardey thought. I either have the beginning of pre e or a problem with my kidneys. They have decided that the best course of action is to deliver Noah. So on Monday (3/12) we will do an amnio to check Noah's lung function. If he passes then I will be induced. This is scary on many levels. One I am TERRIFIED of needles so the amnio test is going to be really hard on me but also since I am not showing any sign of dilating on my own there is a chance I could wind up with a section. I will try to keep updating along the way.

"...Noah's Mommy"

It is funny how the littlest things can make you feel such a rush of emotions. Just the littlest comment from a stranger can sometimes make your day. Yesterday, during mass a little old lady said something that made me smile SO big for so long. I turned to offer them "peace" and she shook my hand and said "Peace to you, Noah's Mommy". I almost cried from happiness. I know I am his mommy and he is my son, but for it to be said out loud, for the first time was amazing. I don't think I will ever forget the first time someone called me Noah's mommy. Now I just look forward to the day when he calls me Mommy.

34 Weeks!!

Today marks yet another milestone I feel completely blessed to get to. We only have 6 weeks left until Noah is due. When we first got to see him he was only 6 weeks along and here we are 6 weeks from meeting him officially. It is so hard to imagine but I am so excited.

This week I have been super swollen and really tired, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I know the stress isn't helping any either but sleep is really hard to come by as well.

Justin is finishing up his last shift in Morgan City then he will be packing and leaving for KS. Needless to say this week will only keep getting crazier. But I have faith in God and faith in my husband and know both will be taking care of me.

This Just Got Real!!!!

Back story: Justin's dream job has always been to work doing what his uncle does. He travels around the country (and the world) fixing big jet planes. Well a few months ago he called Justin to let him know some positions were opening up. He flew up to Wichita for an interview and apparently they liked him because

HE GOT THE JOB

I am so happy for him but TERRIFIED at the same time. Those of you who know me know I have NEVER lived more than an hour away from the hospital I was born in. Not to mention we will be moving with a new newborn in tow. Well technically I will be moving then, Justin's first day is 3/12 so he will be there in the next couple weeks. I am freaking out about him not being here for the birth or with me through the end of the pg. I KNOW he is torn but we also know this is the opportunity of a lifetime and can't turn it down.

This is going to be a great thing for our family. We just have to get through the main transition phase. But I know the other side will be wonderful. I will be able to stay home with Noah (my dream job) while my wonderful husband will have his. And when he is home our family can have real quality time without Noah having to go to daycare and me to work, we can all relax and enjoy each other.

.......... But it sure is a far cry from home.
